IDR Day 2011

The Interdisciplinary Research Honor Society (IDR) is sponsoring the very first Interdisciplinary Day at the Inn at Virginia Tech.

Enjoy an evening of exciting discussions about transdisciplinarity and interdisciplinarity. We will start with a talk by Dr. Paul Knox (University Distinguished Professor & Senior Fellow for International Advancement), entitled: Transdisciplinary Research: Wicked Problems and Zombie Institutions.

Then we will subdivide into groups and attempt to tackle modern-day wicked problems by using creativity and interdisciplinarity.

Dinner is provided. Registration is FREE but required (we have limited spots of about 100 participants). Students, faculty and staff at Virginia Tech are encouraged to attend.

(Registration information is purely for the event only and will not be shared or used for any other purposes)

For questions regarding IDR Day 2011 registration please contact Tobias Ecker (ecker@vt.edu).

In case you cannot attend please let us know via email so we can fill the spot with another person.
