Abstract submissions for poster session of IDR symposium 2012 due Monday Oct 15th, 2012

We are now accepting abstract submissions for the poster session of the Second Annual Interdisciplinary Research Symposium, held at Virginia Tech on Nov 2th, 9am-3pm,  in the Graduate Life Center (GLC) Multipurpose room. The submission deadline is MONDAY OCTOBER 15th.

The Interdisciplinary Research Honor Society (ΙΔΡ) organizes this symposium to promote interdisciplinary work being performed at Virginia Tech by graduate and undergraduate students. Dr. Bill Newell, a leading scholar on interdisciplinary research, will be the keynote speaker and host an interactive panel discussion.

Undergraduate and graduate students can equally participate in the poster session and compete for poster awards in their respective categories. Coffee and lunch break provided.

Abstracts selected for the poster session will be notified by October 22. Selected abstracts will also be featured in the Symposium’s Compendium.

Abstracts will be selected primarily on the extent of integration of distinct disciplines into the author’s work and secondarily on the results/outcomes/impact of the work. Abstracts that do not adhere to formatting guidelines will not be accepted.
